Behind Our New Odyssey TV Commercial

Our new Odyssey O-Works TV spot illustrates the superior performance of our Microhinge Face technology compared to our previous models. In order to capture the captivating roll evidence, our R&D team worked with the Callaway Media Productions team to conduct in-depth testing/filming using Phantom high speed cameras.

The idea was to film (in super slow-mo) the roll of putters with different face technology and then compare them to the new Microhinge insert. We placed a ball with a black sharpie line around the equator with a yardstick behind to measure how quickly each ball moves forward in the first few inches of the putt.


As you can see, the initial roll generated from Microhinge is far more efficient and quicker than last year’s Fusion RX insert (which at that point produced our quickest roll).

What does that mean for golfers? A quicker roll promotes the ball staying on its intended line, which means more made putts.
