Noren Putts His Way to Stunning BMW Championship Win

 In Tour News

There are a lot of things to take away from Alex Noren’s stunning final round 10-under 62 that clinched the BMW PGA Championship, the European Tour’s flagship event.

The 34-year-old Swede began the day seven shots off the lead. By the time he was through 16, he found himself 7-under par for the day and tied for the lead. On the par 5 18th, Noren hit an incredible 5 iron to 6-feet and drained a tricky left-to-right eagle putt with his Odyssey Works #1 to finish in dramatic fashion and hold off fellow Callaway staffers Henrik Stenson (T3) and Nicolas Colsaerts (T3).

The main story, though, was Noren’s putting; he took only 24 putts to claim his 9th European Tour victory (his fifth since last July, all with his Works #1).
