Berger Defends Title in Memphis, Wins With 2-Ball

 In Tour News

Daniel Berger successfully defended the FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis today.  Berger began the day three shots back of the lead but fired a bogey-free 4-under-66 to take home his second career PGA TOUR title.

The 23-year-old climbed into a share of the lead on the par-4 13th when he stuck a wedge inside of two feet. On the par-4 15th, Berger holed a 17-foot birdie putt with his custom Versa 2-Ball to take sole possession of the lead. He then parred the final three holes, enough to hold on for a 1 shot victory.

Berger had an exceptional weekend with his 2-Ball, needing only 25 putts in both the 3rd and 4th rounds. He jumps from 43rd to 24th in the Official World Golf Ranking.
