Leishman Wins in Wire-to-wire Fashion

Marc Leishman’s week couldn’t have gone much better.  The Aussie won the BMW Championship today, his second PGA TOUR title of the year and the third of his career.  Leishman came roaring out of the gate on Thursday with a 9-under-par 62 to take the lead.  Leishman’s Odyssey #1 Wide was hot all day as he recorded 10 birdies and 3.147 Strokes-gained Putting (that’s very good).  Without skipping a beat, Leishman fired a 7-under-par 64 on Friday to take a 3 shot lead into the weekend.

Marc was able to maintain his lead after a third round 68 and held on for a 67 in today’s final round to win by 5 shots.  Leishman was able to birdie 3 of his last four holes to close it out (he made 29 birdies this week).  Take a look at Marc finish in style making a 20 footer on the last.

The 33-year-old vaults up to 3rd place in the FedEx Cup heading into the TOUR Championship.
